SCHEELS - Intro to Hockey

Intro to Hockey is your player's First chance to join one of the greatest sports in the world. A fun opportunity to try hockey without having to make the investment in equipment and ice fees. We encourage all age levels and abilities to join us for these sessions in the Fall to get a taste of what we all love so much in the Angels organization.

Before registering with Angels Hockey please be sure you are eligible per the information below:

 

  • If you live in Fargo or West Fargo, or surrounding communities and you attend a private school, you register with Angels Hockey.


  • If you live in the Fargo Public School District and attend public school, you register with the Fargo Youth Hockey Association. 


  • If you live in the West Fargo Public School District and attend public school, you register for the West Fargo Youth Hockey Association. 


Details

WHAT

This program is for all kids that want to try hockey for the first time. A $50 registration fee is collected at the time of registration online.

Prior to the program's start date, each player is fitted by Scheels individually for all equipment including; skates, shoulder pads, elbow pads, pants, shin guards, gloves, and helmet. Additionally a stick and bag is provided as well. This is all at no extra charge!

Players get 4 hrs. of ice time in October with Angel coaches included. Once the Intro program is concluded, Players can signup for our winter season and keep the equipment at no extra charge, or return the equipment if they decide not to participate in the winter season.

Ages

Ages 3-10, however all age groups are welcome. The equipment we provide is typically in the smaller size ranges.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to purchase skates for my player?

No. By registering for Intro to Hockey, it give Angels Hockey time to prepare donations to support the new players with everything they need.

What if my player doesn't know how to skate?

Do not worry. We will have all ability levels and coaches and experienced players on the ice to support the numbers to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Can I be on the ice with my player?

We recommend that parents and family members not be on the ice unless they are registered with USA Hockey with the appropriate SafeSport certifications and coverage.
